NewsOPPORTUNITY BANK SERBIA IN THE FINAL OF “GIORDANO DELL’AMORE” AWARD FOR GOOD PRACTICES IN MICROFINANCE
The winner of the 2016 Giordano Dell’Amore Award for good practices in microfinance was announced at the European Microfinance Network (EMN) Annual Conference held in Warsaw between 16th and 18th June, and the award went to Microcredit Foundation Horizonti from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Opportunity Bank Serbia, as one of the three finalists competing for this prestigious award, presented project Tablet as a unique tool for the fast approval of agro loans in the field.
Giordano Dell’Amore Foundation promoted of all three projects in the finales as particularly significant from the good practice standpoint, as they enable economic and social prosperity of micro clients in countries across Europe.
During the conference, Vladimir Vukotić, CEO of Opportunity Bank, as one of the panelist, had an opportunity to present the idea and key benefits that have been created by introducing tablet into the regular business operations of the Bank. This project sparked interest and we are confident that many other microfinance organizations, participants of the EMN conference, will also introduce tablet as common practice in their own business operations.
