About usOpportunity International Network
The Opportunity Network is made up of 48 organizations, 39 of which are microfinance institutions (program partners) operating in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central and East Asia and Latin America. These program partners provide loans and other support directly to families in need. Funds to support the work of program partners are raised through support partners operating in various countries including Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the USA.
On the end of 2018:
- Opportunity Network had 6.2 million loan clients and 6.5 million savings clients
- 97% of clients were women
- 81% of clients lived in rural areas
Corporate and institutional partners of Opportunity network which include leading companies, charitable foundations and public institutions help drive positive change through innovations, technology and education in some of the world’s most remote and underserved communities.
Some of OI’s corporate and institutional partners are: Caterpillar Foundation, Citi Foundation, Credit Suisse, European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), Google, Inc, John Deere Foundation, The MasterCard Foundation, ResponsAbility, Symbiotics, US Agency for International Development (USAID), Triple Jump, Visa, etc.
